DataFort Launches Tree Plantation Program in Savar to Strengthen Its Commitment to Sustainability
DataFort has launched its Tree Plantation Program at its Archive Centre in Savar, reaffirming the company’s commitment to environmental sustainability, responsible business practices, and a greener future for Bangladesh.
The initiative was inaugurated by DataFort’s Chief Operating Officer, alongside the Expo Holdings Limited brand team. The program brought together employees, family members, children, distributor partners, and other stakeholders, reflecting DataFort’s shared commitment to environmental conservation, community engagement, and sustainable development.

A Tree Plantation Initiative Rooted in Environmental Responsibility
As part of the program, a diverse selection of fruit-bearing and environmentally beneficial trees was planted across the premises. The planted varieties included Gangabardhan Coconut, Persimmon, Vietnam Pink Jackfruit, Gumless Jackfruit, Seedless Bael, Narkeli Boroi, and Thai Sharifa.
Each sapling was planted not only as a contribution to expanding green cover, but also as a symbol of growth, renewal, and long-term ecological responsibility.

Engaging the Next Generation Through Art and Awareness
Alongside the tree plantation activity, DataFort also organized an art camp for the children of employees. Through creative participation, the young attendees expressed their ideas on nature, greenery, and environmental care.
The art camp added a meaningful intergenerational dimension to the initiative, encouraging children to engage with sustainability not only as a concept, but also through imagination, creativity, and personal expression.

Connecting Tree Plantation with DataFort’s Paper Recycling Services
The program reflects DataFort’s broader Corporate Social Responsibility commitment to embedding sustainability into its organizational culture. This commitment is closely connected to DataFort’s responsible paper recycling services, through which the company promotes waste reduction, resource efficiency, and environmentally responsible practices.
By combining tree plantation with paper recycling, DataFort continues to advance a practical sustainability approach that connects ecological restoration with responsible resource management. While tree plantation contributes to green coverage, cleaner air, and biodiversity, paper recycling supports reduced paper waste and encourages a more circular approach to material use.
Together, these efforts reflect DataFort’s belief that sustainability must be practiced through both community engagement and everyday operational responsibility.

Supporting Sustainable Development Goals
Aligned with the spirit of the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals, particularly Climate Action, Life on Land, Responsible Consumption and Production, and Sustainable Cities and Communities, the initiative supports DataFort’s efforts to contribute to climate resilience, biodiversity protection, responsible resource use, and community-centered environmental awareness.
While tree plantation is one step in a larger sustainability journey, it remains a tangible and visible action toward restoring green spaces and promoting ecological balance.

Building a Culture of Sustainable Practice
By involving employees and their families, especially the next generation, the initiative encouraged environmental stewardship across generations. It created an opportunity for younger participants to experience civic responsibility in action and understand how small, practical steps can contribute to a healthier planet.
Speaking at the inauguration, the COO emphasized the importance of proactive environmental responsibility and the role organizations can play in addressing climate and sustainability challenges. He also highlighted the importance of digital transformation in improving workplace efficiency, encouraging officers and staff members to embrace the newly introduced digital attendance system as part of DataFort’s broader move toward smarter and more responsible operations.

A Step Toward a Greener Bangladesh
The Tree Plantation Program aims to expand green coverage, improve air quality over time, support local biodiversity, and inspire greater awareness of sustainable practices within the workplace and surrounding communities.
Through this initiative, DataFort seeks to go beyond symbolic participation and contribute meaningfully to environmental preservation through practical, community-driven action.
DataFort extends its sincere appreciation to its employees, the Expo Holdings Limited network, participating families and children, distributor partners, social media participants, and well-wishers for their enthusiastic involvement and support.
With the launch of the Tree Plantation Program, DataFort continues its journey toward building a greener and more livable Bangladesh. The initiative stands as a reflection of the company’s long-term belief that responsible business growth must go hand in hand with environmental care, civic consciousness, resource responsibility, and lasting positive impact for future generations.
